2023-2024 Intro to Hockey Programs

Our programs provide an opportunity for youth in our area (Amery, Clear Lake, Clayton, Unity, etc) to learn how to skate and try hockey for FREE. With knowledgeable instruction from experienced coaches, your child will learn the fundamentals of the sport, while having fun! 

*Equipment available for use during the Intro to Hockey Programs.

➢ Learn to Skate for FREE-Skaters will be introduced to the basics of skating in a safe environment. Skates provided. Any age welcome.

              • OCTOBER: Wednesdays 5:30-6:00p, Sundays 2:45-3:45p 

              • October 8, 11, 15, 18, 22, 25, 29

➢ Try Hockey for FREE-Experience hockey for free in a fun setting. Full hockey gear. Recommended ages 4-9.

              • SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 4th from 9:00-11:00a

➢ Mini Mites for FREE -Join us for an introductory course in hockey and prepare your player for our Mite Program. Full hockey gear.     

              • NOVEMBER: Wednesdays 5:30-6:00, Sundays 2:45-3:45p

              • November 8, 12, 15, 19, 22, 26, 29

• If your child is LOVING hockey, continue the season and join the Mite Program in December. 

• It is recommended for first time skaters to complete all 3 FREE programs before joining Mites.

Mite Program (Levels 1-3) - 1 st year w/AYHA $59 

 Develop your skills as a young hockey player in our Mite program. Local Games/Jamborees. Ages 4-8. 

 *Equipment for rent-max of $25. First come first serve. Players must provide their own stick.

Tanner is excited to be back in Amery where he played 4 years of Varsity Hockey.  We are very fortunate to have Tanner leading our Learn to Skate-Mini Mite Program this year.  Tanner's experience in playing hockey and leading youth to grow and succeed is extensive.

• Played Junior Hockey
• Played D3 hockey at Concordia University of WI
• Coached a summer camp for 3 years at the High School level in Milwaukee area.
• Coached his son JJ's Mite Team (levels 2-4) in Prior Lake, MN for 3 years
